Gluten-Free Ricecrumbs

GLUTEN-FREE RICECRUMBS

Tired of the same old breadcrumbs made from bread? Want something with a little more crisp, a little more air, a little more stable? Try these easy delights wherever you use breadcrumbs. Don’t leave them out on the counter too long – you’ll be snacking on them!!

Makes 3 cups

2 T. animal-free margarine

onion powder to taste

garlic powder to taste

salt and black pepper to taste

3 c. CRISP RICE OVEN-TOASTED RICE CEREAL by Ralston FOODS

1 T. extra virgin olive oil

1- In large skillet, over medium-low heat, melt margarine.

2- Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Swirl into melted margarine to even them out.

3- Add 2 cups of the cereal, toss to evenly coat.

4- Add another cup of cereal; toss well.

5- Add olive oil, toss again, cook stirring continuously for a couple minutes.

6- Remove from heat and let set to flavor all – no rush.

Notes: Use to cover casseroles, sprinkle on cooked veggies, mac and cheese dishes, sprinkle on salads, in soups, or any place you want an added crisp to a savory dish.

Like I said in the beginning you’ll find yourself snacking on them.

Store in sealed jar or plastic bag to use as needed.
