DELIGHT SOY NUGGET RAMEN
Soy chicken nuggets, sweet onion strips, and fresh carrot ribbons simmered in a garlic tarragon coriander broth with millet and brown rice Ramen by Lotus Foods. Ramen Extraordinaire!! The finest of the fine!
Makes 8-1/2 cups
2 c. Delight Soy Chicken Nuggets, sliced thin
8 c. water
3 t. salt
1/2 jumbo sweet onion, peeled and very thinly sliced into half rings
2 T. extra virgin olive oil
2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. turmeric
1 t. smoked paprika
1 t. ground coriander
2 t. dried tarragon
2 t. SPICE TIME Imitation Chicken Flavored Bouillon Powder
light sprinkle red cayenne pepper
fresh grind black pepper to taste
10 oz. pkg. MILLET AND BROWN RICE RAMEN by LOTUS FOODS – use 2 of the 4 ramen cakes
sliced scallions as garnish
1- In large soup pot place chicken, water and salt. Bring to slow boil and cook about 15 minutes to soften chicken pieces.
2- Add onion, olive oil, garlic, turmeric, smoked paprika, coriander, tarragon, imitation chicken bouillon, red cayenne and black peppers. Stir well, and simmer at low boil till onion is tender.
3- Add carrot ribbons and cook till tender- soft ( just a few minutes).
4- Return to boil. Add 2 cakes ramen noodle. Using fork or tongs, stir into the hot broth, lifting and separating noodles. Cook till tender and all noodles separate.
5- Remove from heat.
6- Ladle into soup bowls. Top with sliced scallion and serve.
Notes: Serve this special ramen at any upscale restaurant with a high price tag. It will become a favorite among your customers.
This ramen bears a creamy component not often found in ramen. The longer it sets before serving, the more creamy and flavorful.
