Although I didn’t buy this air fryer to make toast, once I tried it I put away my toaster for when I move to a better place, where it doesn’t set off the smoke detector every time I use it.
No matter where I situate that toaster, I am on high alert for an alarm every single time I put that bread in that toaster. The way the air currents move, it picks up that minuscule thread of smoke that goes like a bullet right into that alarm box. When the alarm sounds it could knock you over and I immediately run to the alarm and neutralize it. Most of the tenants in the building aren’t as tall as I am, so I can see where fire trucks would inevitably come out when the tenant can’t reach the detector to block the alarm. Even with my height and long arms it isn’t easy to reach that far up.
It just became too stressful, but Steve likes toast and now this air fryer makes it perfectly, leaving the alarm silent. What a relief not to have to wait for that alarm, knowing it’s going to go off, but every now and then it doesn’t, which makes the entire experience even more unpredictable and certainly not worth the stress.
I’m feeling better already. That’s something I need to work on, getting rid of the little stresses in life that can trigger bigger ones.
